Piping and HVAC Failures

   Avoid Evidence With Holes, Too

You’ve Spotted the Leak and Seen the Damage

Sprinklers, sewers, HVAC systems, water mains and pipes of all kinds eventually fail.

The resulting leaks don’t sit still. They spread. And so do the problems they cause – especially when leaks migrate to electrical or computer systems and business interruption losses mount up.

Even air can be damaging. An air leak in a duct system can wreak as much havoc as a burst pipe. Mould from condensation can result, That can have costly health impacts as well as big remediation bills.

Now Find the Cause

Until you know, for sure, why failure occurred, you don’t know who’s on the hook for the fix and any other damages.

Knowing why is not so simple:
• Just because something’s old, doesn’t mean it should just quit working. Or start leaking. New systems break too.
• Just because something stopped working doesn’t mean it was the installer’s fault. Bad design. Improper use. Poor maintenance or slipshod inspection may all have played a part.

Because so many of today's systems aren't  simple at all, causes can be complex.

We often encounter complicated controls systems. Actuated valves.  Corrosive environments. Exotic materials. Off-shore suppliers. And multi-faceted codes, standards and certifications.
